This 25-gram bag of Candy Apple Green Metallic Paint Pigment powder is the ideal way to create your own custom tinted clears and opaque metallic finishes for custom auto or home paint and powder coating applications. This pigment is guaranteed to mix well with any clear paints and tinted candy paints, and it has a temperature threshold of about 400 degrees Fahrenheit. This very fine powder sprays smoothly through airbrushes, powder guns, and HVLP paint guns. It is exceptionally lightweight, ensuring it stays well mixed in paint without settling too quickly, allowing for both subtle and dramatic effects. It’s a great option for beginners as well as professionals. Beginners sometimes mistakenly buy candy pearls when they are trying to create a paint that changes in the sun, or a “ghost” pearl paint effect. However, the mixture will never be fully transparent due to the solid mica and iron particles. This does not mean you can’t achieve a good degree of transparency with the candy paint pigments, but you will eventually achieve full coverage, making it impossible to see whatever is underneath. We recommend using about 1/2 of one of our bags per quart of base clear or inter coat clear. Using a full bag per quart would result in a more opaque Apple Green Candy pearl paint.
